I recently did a couple escape rooms, never thought I’d give 50 dollars to be locked in a room and attempt to escape but it’s not a bad activity to kill time when with friends

Usually the flow of escape room is:

  1. The story: how the room introduces the story / gives the objective
  2. The search: everyone starts opening drawers, looking under objects, reading papers, checking walls, and collecting anything that looks like a clue
  3. The puzzles: the clues usually point toward locks, codes, patterns, hidden compartments, or machines that need to be activated
  4. The chain reaction: solving one puzzle gives you another clue, key, number, symbol, or object that unlocks the next part of the room
  5. The final objective: escape the room, find an item, stop a fake disaster, solve a mystery, or complete whatever the story set up at the beginning

I am going to build my own escape room
