I worked on Hyperic from January 2026 - July 2026
During the summer of 2025 me and a couple of my friends (eventually my co-founders) threw around the idea of what if there was a world where drones could fly by themselves
Just a natural language instruction and the drone does as you say
We explored it a bit during the following term, built drones, learnt about what would need to happen to make the tech come to life, and explored VCs
In January 2025 me and my co-founders Rohan and Archie dropped everything from our internships to school and moved to Livermore, California to work out of my parents’ garage
Forever grateful for what my parents did for us, my mom made us home made food and we basically hacked away at technology / fundraising all day
We were all also pretty broke so it helped our bank account balance that my parents supported us for 1.5 months
Near the end of January PearVC decided to back us
Morale was at an all time high, we got funded and things were looking up
Mid February we all moved to San Francisco getting our office
This is the place I spent 6 months of my life at, I’d be at the office 7 days a week; not always productive, sometimes it’d be meeting new people over poker or deep thoughts about where we wanted to be in life
My personal rule was to show up to the office everyday and try to work at least 1 hour, if I can’t get brain work done then try to do something else productive
Overtime we made progress in our respective areas of the company: we developed a drone, proprietary modules, and had drones flying in sim
Throughout this process there were a lot of times that it was really fun, like REALLY fun; I am living my dream
But there’d be times filled with disagreements and uncertainty that’d make make question what even is the point of any of this. My biggest issue with the company was more often than it should there’d be a feeling that there was a lack of urgency
Eventually it got to the point where I thought that this may not be the founding team to accomplish our goal and as a result I decided to step out of the company
The decision was really hard and it still is, I sometimes look back and think about what’d happened if I had done things differently
Alas I believe in whatever happens happens for the best; After I left Hyperic I knew I wanted to do another company, and that’s what I am working towards now
I loved Hyperic, it was my everything; The people that put their trust in me, everyone from employees to friends it was an amazing 6 months
The best part about company building was the fact that I walked out with more friends than I walked in with
Some people I became really close with because of the company:
We met under such odd circumstances, went from coworking together for 1 day because her 3D printer was broken to her moving in our apartment and working out of our office full-time
She’s been there since start and end of it, she feels part of the company as much as anyone else even though she was never officially working with / for us
I’ve known buddy since high school and we’ve always been looking for ways to work together
Incredibly smart person and working with him at Hyperic was so much fun
How I first met Krish is so interesting (story for another day) but I became really close with Krish and Liam throughout this process
Me and Krish would essentially do an unofficial daily stand up updating each other on progress made with each of our companies and bounce ideas off of each other

Guys too jolly, we might as well be married
If I need to talk to someone it’s Rohan, if I want to fatass food in middle of the night it’s DEFINITELY Rohan
Great guy, I can see myself founding another company with him
