Great human being
When I first met James it was during the pandemic in an online Discord Server where I was trying to develop my own Discord Bot (and failing miserably)
James taught me basics of JavaScript, the first programming language I properly learned, and helped my dreams of becoming a Discord Bot Developer come true
Sometimes he’d spoil me, for example, if I asked too many questions he’d just give me the solution to get me off his back. This probably wasn’t the best approach for long term learning but in the moment just seeing my project work bought me so much joy
Over the years, we have had debates, there’s lots of things we’ve disagreed on and sometimes got into arguments / fights but to this day we are still friends
People like him and Steven Gong inspire me to pass it on, these 2 individuals have done so much for me to make me the programmer and person I am today. I would be nothing without the people who passed their knowledge and experience onto me.
